Outboard Engine Servicing, Winterising & Storage
At Eyemouth Marine, we provide reliable, great-value outboard engine servicing, winterising and seasonal storage. Our qualified engineers work to manufacturer standards using approved oils, parts and diagnostic tools. Whether you’re a leisure boater, angler, or commercial operator, we’ll keep your engine running smoothly all year round.
We provide services under warranty for Tohatsu, Honda, Selva, and Yamaha engines. As well as out of warranty services for Suzuki, Mariner, Mercury, Oxe, Evinrude, Johnson and others .
We offer annual, 100hr, mid-season and winterisation services for both 2 and 4 stroke engines.
Mobile Servicing
We have a fully equipped mobile service van which can come to you. We travel to save you the hassle of loading your outboard in the car or putting your boat on a trailer.
In-House Servicing
Our extensive facilities here at the yard mean we can offer in-house servicing for inboard and outboard engines. Bring your boat to us by trailer or pop your outboard engine in your car.
Outboard Engine Servicing (Annual / 100-Hour)
A full health check and maintenance service including:
- Engine oil & filter change (4-stroke)
- Gearbox oil change
- Spark plug inspection & replacement
- Fuel filter & water-separator checks
- Cooling system flush + tell-tale check
- Impeller inspection
- Prop removal & shaft inspection
- Throttle, steering & shift linkage lubrication
- Electrical & battery checks
- Diagnostic scan (where applicable)
- Full written service report
Winterising Services
Protect your engine during the off-season with:
- Full freshwater flush
- Fuel stabiliser treatment
- Fogging oil (if required)
- Gear oil change
- Anti-corrosion protection
- Battery care guidance
Outboard Engine Storage (Winter Season)
Clean, dry and secure winter storage for portable outboards.
- Upright, ventilated storage
- Protective covers used
- Periodic visual checks
- Battery kept off-engine and maintained (if supplied)
Troubleshooting and Additional Works
Any work beyond the scope of the standard servicing procedures outlined above will be estimated and quoted as additional work for the approval of the customer before work commences.
