Welcome back Coco
22nd July 2026
We are very pleased to welcome Coco back to Eyemouth Marine as our Marine Yard Technician.
A familiar face around Eyemouth and the harbour since 1985, Coco brings 46 years of hands-on marine experience to the team. Over the course of his career, he has built up a broad range of practical skills across marine plumbing, hydraulic systems, pumps, pipework, installation, repair, diagnostics, fault-finding and general vessel maintenance.
Coco has been involved in the construction of around 40 vessels, including fishing boats, fishery protection vessels and yachts. That experience has given him a strong understanding of how different onboard systems work together and how to approach the varied problems that arise during vessel construction, repair and maintenance.
One of Coco’s main strengths is practical problem-solving. He particularly enjoys investigating faults that have been present for some time, including issues that may already have been looked at by several people, and finding a clear and workable solution. His experience allows him to assess problems quickly, identify likely causes and carry out repairs in a practical and efficient way.
His skills include work on marine plumbing systems, pumps and pipework, hydraulic equipment, onboard installations, maintenance and repair work, and the diagnosis of mechanical and system faults. He also brings the wider yard knowledge that comes from decades spent working on different types of vessels and adapting to the individual requirements of each job.
Having previously worked at Eyemouth Marine, Coco already knows the yard, the harbour and many of the people who work in and around it. His return adds further depth to our practical engineering and vessel-support capability, and his experience will be a valuable resource for both the team and our customers.
Outside work, Coco enjoys walking, supporting local amateur football and spending time with his six grandchildren.
We are delighted to have him back at Eyemouth Marine.
