Patrick, Chairman

Patrick is passionate about the marine sector and is right behind taking Eyemouth Marine into the 21st century. He believes that the marine sector, just like any other sector, must continually improve, especially it’s customer focus, its processes, and its people’s capabilities. This is all happening at Eyemouth Marine.   Patrick is also chairman of Kallanish Ltd, Humbie Hub Ltd and is a director of the sustainable insulation business Sisaltech Ltd. In addition to that work he is an active mentor and business advisor in other areas.

Neil, Managing Director 

With over 30 years in the marine industry, Neil has led teams across commercial shipping, offshore renewables, oil and gas, and government sectors. As Managing Director of Eyemouth Marine, he drives the company’s vision to blend its rich heritage with modern, sustainable marine technology. Known for his focus on innovation, quality, and strong customer relationships, Neil ensures every project is delivered efficiently, responsibly, and to the highest standards.

Ryan, Business Support Manager  

Ryan has been with Eyemouth Marine since 2019 and is responsible for our numbers and keeping the administrative elements of the business running smoothly. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is currently studying towards his Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) professional qualification. A keen footballer and out on the pitch whenever he can be. 

Jake, Business & Marketing Coordinator 

Responsible for all outward-facing affairs, including social media, website, trade shows, press, and much more, Jake tells our story far and wide. He enjoys having daily creative freedom in the EM office and also handles procurement and a variety of other ad hoc operational duties. In his down time he values being out in nature as much as possible, and rustling up new recpies at home. 

Richard, Yard Lead 

Richard is the longest serving member of our team and his experience is invaluable in all things related slipping boats and keeping things in the yard running smoothly. As our main crane operator, you can often see him out and about around the harbour assisting the harbour operations team with lifts. His skills and local knowledge help us provide a unique service for local businesses and operations. 

Steven, Boatbuilding Lead 

With over 30 years of experience in carpentry and joinery, and with a deep and ever evolving knowledge of GRP, composites, and fibreglass, Steven is a true all-rounder when it comes to repairing boats. He enjoys working close to home and the variety of work we carry out here in the yard, Steven loves playing darts, flying his drone, and getting out on the water in his Honwave. 

Alastair, Electrical Engineer 

Alistair is an experienced Electrical Engineer with over 15 years in the trade, working across domestic, industrial, and marine environments.He specialises in electrical installation, system diagnostics, and fault finding.He is also a member of the St Abbs Independent Lifeboat, bringing valuable practical marine experience and a strong problem-solving approach to every project.

 

Alex, Outboard Engineer & Yard Crew

With a strong background in Royal Navy and Royal Marines marine engineering, Alex brings hands-on experience maintaining critical vessel systems in demanding operational environments. From propulsion to power systems, he’s used to keeping things running under pressure. Now in the yard and off-site, he applies that same disciplined, reliable approach to every job.

Coco, Marine Yard Technician 

Coco brings 46 years of hands-on marine experience to Eyemouth Marine, with particular expertise in marine plumbing, hydraulic systems, pumps, pipework, installation, repair, diagnostics and vessel maintenance. During his career, he has contributed to the construction of around 40 vessels, including fishing boats, fishery protection vessels and yachts. He is especially skilled in practical fault-finding and enjoys resolving complex or long-standing issues. Outside work, Coco enjoys walking, watching local amateur football and spending time with his six grandchildren.

Ruairidh, Boatyard Trainee & Outboard Mechanic 

Ruairidh may be the youngest face in the yard, but he's already got plenty of experience out on the water under his belt. A competitive sailor at club level, he has been keen on boating as long as he can remember. In the yard, he'll be assisting and learning in all areas of our operations and getting stuck into everything we have going on. 

 

Alex, Cleaner 

Our dedicated cleaner at Eyemouth Marine, Alex, makes sure we have a spotless and pleasant place to work every day. With a diverse professional background as a swim lifeguard and teacher, and experience in accountancy, leisure/sports, and tourism, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. He loves working here because of the fantastic staff and the great team environment. Outside of work, Alex enjoys cycling, photography, walking, swimming, and sketching.
